I now feel I truly have had the full Winter Olympic experience with a full day of snow! Another 5am bus journey and the snow had just started to fall. As the day progressed I witnessed how a mountain resort continues to function with limited disruption compared to the UK where one snow flake stops the whole country.

Half my shift was inside and half outside, entertained by Italian Pipers who performed a rousing rendition of The Flower of Scotland. Watch the reel here.

Fantastic Curling today, the men’s teams were in action and the snow didn’t stop the spectators cheering on their favourite teams.

A longer wait for the bus than usual and a slower journey home but a fun day and a great job by all the local authorities for keeping the roads open.
